PARENT LETTER 5/08 

To begin classes with Jeff’s Driving School, you just show up at the classroom 30 minutes early to complete our application form; a parent must be present.  If you do not pay in full ($475), a $250 deposit must be paid to begin classes.  If your teen has their temporary driving permit, please also bring the permit paper and photo I.D. card. 

There are six classroom sessions and eight hours of in-car driving in our program.  Each class day is a different number and classes do not have to be taken in order.

Once your teen has shown both parts of their temporary driving permit, has completed at least one class sessions and is paid in full, you will be contacted by our office to schedule your in-car driving lessons.

Once your in-car lessons have been scheduled, if you need to make any changes, we require a five day notice.  Lessons changed in less than five days will result in a $50 charge.    If you are calling to reschedule an in-car lesson as the result of not having the temporary permit or not showing up for a scheduled lesson, all delinquent fees must be paid before the lesson will be rescheduled.

Office hours and scheduling hours vary for summer and the school year.  Please call our office at 793-0090 where our office personnel or answering machine will give you the hours for the present time.

Dress Code:  For Classroom-No strapless tops, halters or short shorts. For In-Car Lessons-Same as above; no flip flops or sandals.  Athletic Shoes are the recommended foot apparel.

Our in-car schedule is busier once spring break is over.  If you plan to do your in-car driving during the summer, you must have completed one class session, be paid in full and have shown both parts of your temps no later than May 1.  After that date, we cannot guarantee that you will be completed with the program before your school begins again in August. 

Once your teen has completed twenty-four hours of classroom and eight hours of in-car driving, their Certificate of Completion will be mailed to your home and you will receive this within five to seven days after your teen’s last action.
