Parent Letter

Thank you for choosing Jeff's Driving School!  Our mission is teaching driver's education to save lives.

To begin classes with Jeff's Driving School, you simply show up at the classroom 30 minutes early.  You also need to bring a parent, your permit if you have it and your payment.  The price of our program is $475.00 and includes the 24-hours of classroom instruction and 8-hours of in-car driving.  We accept Cash, Check, Visa, MasterCard or Discover.

Each class day is numbered (one thru six) and classes do not have to be taken in order.  During the school year (Mid-August thru May) classes are held Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m.  Saturday classes are 9:00 am. to 1:00 p.m.  Summer classes (June thru second week of August) are held Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 10:00 p.m.  Saturday classes are 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Once your teen has shown their Temporary Driving Permit, completed one classroom session and is paid in full, you will be contacted by our office to schedule your teen's in-car driving sessions.  WE SCHEDULE ONLY BY TELEPHONE.

Once the in-car lessons have been scheduled, if you need to make any changes, we require a FIVE DAY NOTICE of any changes in that schedule.  Lessons changed in less than five days will result in a $50 charge.  If you are calling to reschedule an in-car lesson as the result of not having the temporary driving permit, not showing up for a lesson or late cancellation of an in-car lesson, all charges must be paid before the lesson will be rescheduled. 

Office hours and scheduling hours vary for summer and the school year.  Please call our office at 793-0090 where our office personnel or answering machine will give you the hours for the present time.  We are always closed on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. 

Dress Code for the Classroom and In-Car Lessons — No strapless tops, halters or short shorts.  No flip-flops or sandals.  Athletic shoes are the recommended foot apparel.

Our in-car schedule is busier once spring break is over.  If you plan to do your in-car driving during the summer, you must have completed one classroom session, be paid in full and have shown your Temporary Driving Permit by May 1.  Please allow a minimum of 90 days to complete the program.  We never guarantee a student's completion by a certain date.

Once your teen has completed twenty-four hours of classroom and eight hours of in-car driving, their Certificate of Completion will be mailed to your home and will arrive within 10 days.
